Assistant lab technician biotech (late shift)

Our client is a market leader in the production of customised oligonucleotides for the life science industry. They have developed patented technologies for applications such as Next Generation Sequencing, CRISPR and qPCR.

They are currently looking for an assistant lab technician for a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab cleaning and decontamination protocols
• Keep the lab orderly and functional.
• Change waste containers and dispose of waste material.
• Keep stock levels sufficient in the lab.
• Assist with general laboratory maintenance
• Maintain accurate and detailed product & instrument records.
• Provides assistance to the production scientists
• Communicate with all levels of peers and management
• Perform other duties as specified by management.
• Report any problems to Management.
• Follow all work instructions and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Be aware of the company's policy on and contribute to quality and environmental management by adhering to the requirements of the ISO 9001, 13485 and 14001 standards and internal procedures and work instructions.

• Possess a high school degree (a Science related field is a plus) or equivalent job experience.
• Must have excellent computer skills which includes knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Must possess the ability to adapt to changes in the process.
• Must possess the ability to work in a detailed way in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive work according to set procedures.
• Must be able to work in a group or independently.
• Must be able to interact in a professional manner with employees, and all levels of management.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

• You will be working in a late shift from 2pm to 10.30 pm.
