What are your responsibilities?

In this role, you will be responsible for adjusting and develop several processes related to the purification of a variety of proteins. This company is a specialist in producing and developing different sorts of proteins and cell lines for third parties. As a research technician within the process development team you are responsible for an effective and efficient yield of the produced proteins. This will be done by several different kinds of (state-of-the-art) techniques used in downstream processing (DSP). The main techniques include filtration steps and different chromatography steps (for example IEC, SEC, Äkta). This is a fulltime position in dayshift.

What do we look for in a Research technician process development ?

For this position we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated laboratory professional;

  • You have a background in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Pharma or comparable
  • A minimum of level of HLO, BSc
  • Working experience (or extensive internships) in comparable working environment is mandatory
  • Hands-on experience in downstream process development
  • Social and a hardworking teamplayer

This company is fast paced and quickly expanding. It is an international organisation with a R&D department located in Utrecht. You will be able to develop your skill set and it will also be possible to co-operate with other departments such as analytical development and upstream processing departments.

Salary and benefits Research technician process development

You can expect the following rewards when you start in this position;

  • Permanent position, starting on temporary contract
  • Monthly salary of €2700 - €3500 based on fulltime employment
  • Fulltime position: workweek of 40 hours
