Are you looking to play a key role in the development and scale-up of innovative manufacturing processes within a high-tech pharmaceutical environment? We are currently recruiting an experienced Process Development Specialist for an internationally operating pharmaceutical company in the West Friesland region of the Netherlands. In this position, you will act as the link between R&D and GMP manufacturing, helping to bring innovative processes from development to commercial production.

Verantwoordelijkheden

As a Process Development Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling up manufacturing processes within a GMP-regulated environment, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and process reproducibility.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading technology transfers from laboratory scale to GMP manufacturing.
  • Applying Quality by Design (QbD) principles throughout process development.
  • Preparing process descriptions, process flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Contributing to the development and execution of process validation strategies.
  • Performing process risk assessments (including FMEA) and supporting deviation investigations and CAPA activities.
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Process Development, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality Control.
  • Driving continuous process improvements while ensuring compliance with GMP regulations and quality standards.

Vereisten

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Several years of experience in process development, technology transfer, and process optimization within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP regulations, process validation, and pharmaceutical quality systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Quality by Design (QbD), FMEA, process risk assessments, and scale-up activities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A structured and detail-oriented working style with the ability to independently coordinate complex technical projects.
  • Residence in the West Friesland region or willingness to relocate.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch (pre) and English.

Employment Conditions
